1. Hydrate yourself. Before you go to get tattooed, make sure that you are
well hydrated. Drink lots of water for the 24 hours before your tattoo
and avoid dehydrating yourself.
2. Avoid thinning your blood. In order to limit your bleeding, you should avoid
products that thin your blood for 24 hours before getting a tattoo.
This means that you should avoid alcohol before getting a tattoo
3. Wear comfortable clothes. Depending on the size of the tattoo, you may
be at the tattoo shop for several hours. You might as well be in a comfortable
outfit while you are dealing with the discomfort of the tattoo process.
4. Eat before your appointment. It is important that you have enough food
before your appointment so that you don't get light headed while getting
a tattoo. The pain of a tattoo is bad enough, you don't want to add to it
with lightheadedness or passing out into the mix,
No pain no gain.
Every new tattoo needs proper healing care. To minimize complication and get the best result, you must follow these steps. Every step is important, so be patient. Read these instructions carefully.
Remove the bandage ( PIastic wrap) 2 hours after tattooed, Or if you used second skin (Tattoo derm) Remove after 5 days and wash your tattoo with clean hands in cold water. Gently wash away any ointment, dried blood or plasma and completely clean the area. After washing the tattoo, lightly pat it dry with a paper towel or a clean towel and let it air dry for 4 day. if you used specialist repairing fiIm keep it untiI 5 days, is gonna bIurry but its ok.
After 5 days with clean hands, apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare cream (available at the front counter at the studio). Rub the cream in gently as this will help stimulate the skin and bring blood flow to the area, which helps in the healing process. Keep your tattoo moist with cream for most of the time during the after care.
· A tattoo will take from 1 to 2 ½ weeks to heal.
· Avoid saunas, spas, tubs, pools, and water sports. Keep your tattoo out of salt water and chlorine until it healed. You can get shower, but do not put soap in your tattoo area.
· Do not expose it to direct sunlight to avoid the skin sunburn until it healed. Never apply spray tan lotion during healing.
· When it is healing, the skin under your tattoo will start to feel dry and light. You will need to continue applying cream as mentioned in Step 2. Sometimes the skin flakes will have some ink pigments on it. Do not panic as this is normal and does not mean your tattoo is falling off.
· Occasionally a scab will form and any itching that accompanies, this is perfectly normal. A gentle slap or a thin application of cream will generally ease the itching. Never pick or scratch the scab or help it fall off. Otherwise, it can cause your tattoo to bleed which could result a pigment loss.
· Do not shave, wax or exfoliate the area until your tattoo fully healed.
· Be sure that any clothing that touches your tattoo is soft and clean. Tight clothing, polyesters, and nylons can rub and lead to heavier than normal scabbing of the tattoo.
· Do not over exercise the tattoo area and make sure your tattoo is moist before any physical activity.
· Once peeling and flaking process is finished, you will notice the skin over the tattoo is shiny. There may (or may not be) a small area that appears cloudy or white. Do not worry too much about this for now. Within a month or so, the tattoo will settled and it should look great. That is the best time to take pictures.
